International dressage and jumping
For dressage enthusiasts, the ECCO DWB Five Star Dressage is one of the highlights of the year. Danish Warmblood has made an extraordinary investment, by inviting top Danish and foreign riders to international dressage at the very top level. With the support of a number of sponsors, the five-star dressage competitions give the riders the opportunity to ride for valuable points towards the world ranking, but this year ECCO Five Star Dressage is also an important part of the preparation of riders and horses for the Olympics in Paris.
ECCO Five Star Dressage takes place on Friday and Saturday with respectively Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special.
For dressage enthusiasts, this naturally opens up a very special experience, as we only experience dressage at this high level at one other event here at home, the FEI World Cup Herning in October.
The organizers also invite you to CDI3* dressage in a large and small tour.
For those interested in show jumping, there are several interesting classes over the five day event. This year there are special classes for the successful junior, young and U25 riders, and the organizers also invite the young jumpers inside for special Youngster classes. The jumping takes place at three- and one-star level with the great Stutteri Ask Grand Prix inside the Jyske Bank Box on Saturday afternoon.

Presentation classes for stallions
A major attraction during the selection are the presentation classes for the selected stallions in either dressage or jumping. The class is only open to breeding stallions selected in the Danish Warmblood, and the public makes a pilgrimage into the halls to see the many, interesting stallions presented under rider.
The stallions are presented at their respective level of education. The classes are run without a competitive element, i.e. without a grading, but they are expertly commented on by a dressage or jumping judge.

Young horse championship in dressage and jumping
From the Suitability tests, which take place in October/November, for 4-year-old show jumping and dressage horses, the best 50 dressage horses and 40 show jumping horses qualify for a final, the Young Horse Championship in connection with the stallion evaluation.
In the Blue Hors Young Horse Championship in dressage, the horses must be ridden twice for the judges by their own rider. After this, the 21 best placed horses go directly to the final, while three final places are up for grabs via the consolation class. In the final, the horses are ridden by test riders for approx. 10 minutes, after which the test rider gives a grade for capacity and rideability.
In the Dansk Hesteforsikring's Young Horse Championship in show jumping, the horses must jump on a course for the judges twice with their own rider. After this, the best 20 go to the final. In the final, the horses are jumped by test riders for approx. 10 min, after which the test rider gives a grade for capacity and rideability.
Hestens Værn awards a prize to the Young Horse Championship's happiest horse in the dressage and jumping disciplines, respectively. It is the test rider's assessment of the horse's rideability, manners and general appearance that determines which horses receive the honour.
